A Gift in Honor of Great Care

Denise ReissDenise Reiss has received excellent care and kindness from the doctors and staff at Mount Sinai not once, but twice.

Because of her gratitude for Mount Sinai and acknowledgement of its importance, she and her husband, Mike, have given back to the hospital through two charitable gift annuities (CGAs).

One gift honors her doctor, Michael Hausman, MD, Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Mount Sinai and Chief of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery for the Mount Sinai Health System, who helped Denise after she broke her wrist riding a dirt bike.

“Mount Sinai came to the rescue with excellent care and kindness,” she shared. “It is a precious resource in our community and deserves all the support we can give.”

The Reisses specifically chose CGAs to support Mount Sinai because of the gift’s many benefits.

“It was attractive to me and Mike because we would donate the money and still get some income as we grow older while being part of the Mount Sinai community,” Denise said.

She feels forever grateful for the care she received at the institution.

“I want to continue to support Mount Sinai so it can be an excellent, robust institution at the front lines of all medical care,” Denise said. “I also like that it seems to be a great resource for people living in New York City. It’s so valuable to have the best care in the world right in our neighborhood.”
